DIY Comic Strip | Visual Art | ArtistYear Create
Welcome to Episode 2 of School of Sketching! What can we use from our memory to help us create? In this video we’ll go over how to make your very own comic strip using pencil, paper, and markers. #CampYouTube #WithMe #LetsStartCreatingStart by creating a list of four events that happened during a memory. This list will be what to base your drawings off of in the comic.
Then, create a small sketch of what to draw in each panel of my comic on a new piece of paper. Before sketching, make four rectangles to represent each panel of the comic.
Grab a new sheet of paper and fold it in half twice so that there’s four rectangles. These rectangles are going to be the comic panels.
Using a pencil, drawing the scenes you just sketched out. Next, outline the drawings with a black marker to make the lines easier to see.
Then, erase any pencil lines that are still visible.
Finally, use markers and color in the comic. You can also just keep it black and white. We would love to see your comic strips so submit pictures of them to this link https://forms.gle/xqotX4kXDDYaVkWn7 and we’ll feature them in our upcoming videos!
